Hello, Hello I am David Your New Tech Coach
You will start receiving this email on a weekly basis in order to share with you tech tips, tricks, and my calendar for the week. Eventually, we will also share success stories so you can see how technology is transforming other classes at your school.

Challenge of the Week
Do 1 Creation Project This Week. It does not have to be something big, and it does not even have to involve technology. As an example, history classes could have students draw a historical figure and then detail the 5 senses of that person.
This Weeks Success Story
Sometimes success will come if you take the risk and try. I know of several teachers at a certain Sandy Springs Middle School who tried there first digital creation projects in the last two weeks. While there were bumps in the road, they went headfirst into the projects and came out with students being able to really show them what they have learned.
Tech Tip of the Week : Find Resources
The Goal of the Tech Tip of the Week is to get you interested in a topic. Please contact me if you would like to implement.
If your come to a place where you don't know what to do, turn to Graphite. Graphite is Common Sense Media's version of a tool review site. It has detailed reviews of almost every tool you would want in education, along with crowd sourced teacher reviews. You can also search by Grade Level, and it has pre-built app flows for those who don't know where to start!
My entire mission at your school is to take your technology use to transformative. We want students to be able to create, and to have an education that is tailored to their needs. Are you going to be able to do this right away? No, I am here to help hold your hand through those baby steps in order to let you do that. We can handle my help to you in one of three ways.
1. I can come in and do model lessons where we then progress to letting you do some of the same activities
2. I can take projects or assignments you are trying to do, and I can redesign them to up the choice factor and add the tech
3. I can kick you some ideas, and then I can follow up.
