The original script was titled $3,000 instead of Pretty Women.
The film was initially conceived to be a dark drama about prostitution in Los Angeles
Vivian was supposed to be addicted to drugs and part of her deal with Edward was that she had to stay off cocaine for a week.
Eventually the film was turned into a romantic comedy
