Dictatorship

Theocracy

a form of government in which God or a deity is recognized as the supreme civil ruler, the God's or deity's laws being interpreted by the ecclesiastical authorities. a system of government by priests claiming a divine commission.

ex: Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the Vatican.

Oligarchy

a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution.

ex: could be seen in South Africa during the twentieth century.

Anarchy

a state of disorder due to absence or nonrecognition of authority.

ex: Failed states. Mainland Europe experienced near-anarchy

Communism

  1. a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs.
  2. ex: Here are examples of Communism in the twentieth century: Afghanistan - Communistic from 1978 to 1992, was the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.
