Limerick

Limericks are five-line humorous poems that have a set rhyme scheme and a good rhythm. They often feature nonsense and irony. More often then not, limericks have an unsuspected, humorous ending. Limericks are one of the most popular forms of poetry mainly due to their humor and entertainment factor. I enjoy limericks and I hope you will find my example limerick quite amusing.

There once was a young lady named bright
Whose speed was much faster than light
She set out one day
In a relative way
And returned on the previous night.
