RACISM IN JOBS

                       Dictionary

Racism                                                                              The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

                            Why?

I wrote about this topic specifically because my family has had these type of problems in the past and I think it is not okay to do to anyone no mater what race, religeon or coulture you have

I still don't understand why this type of situation is happening now, when we shouldn't have to worry about racial discrimination at this point in American history.

---------------EXAMPLES-------------

-People think African Americans always do drugs, especially in there though part to play when looking for a job'after they graduate,(decrease of African American employees)large problems are job discrimination.

-Due to "black sounding" names people did not be able to interview or even apply for a job, example:Lakisha and Jamal.

-People assume that African Americans always do drugs.

                          The Boss

Usually it's the boss or manager that always has this problem but that still dose not give them rights to be disrespectful to others no mater what title occupation you might have.

EXAMPLES

-A supervisor in Idaho (A cosmetics maker)told a new employee that just arrived from Britain that he didn't expect her to be black.

-A bar in Philadelphia says and I quote''We don't wan't black people,we are a white bar!''   (Rude)

-A supervisor in a New York library asked his African-born assistant if they wanted a banana.(no coment...)

Conclusion

In conclusion I believe there is a better way to deal with this problem in the world of hate, discrimination and just rude. All you have to do is respect, you don't even need to like or know anything about them just respect.
