Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!! OI,OI, OI!!

After watching the documentary Super Size Me it went to show all the nasty things fast food industries do to their food, how far they will go to sell their food and the effects or side-effects it can have on an individual's health. For example when Morgan Spurlock reached about 20 days into his diet he complained a lot about depression, chest pains, shortness of breath, headaches, loss of appetite, sexual dysfunction and many more.

Australia is not far from becoming an obese country like America and we are rapidly growing with the amount of obese people in Australia. We are ranked in the top 5 of most obese countries. Almost a quarter of the children are over weight. 60% of the adult's population are overweight and 22% or obese. Meaning every 1 in 4 Australian is obese. We are the fourth highest population in the world suffering from type-2 diabetes.

From 1995 to 2012, the number of obese Aussies had increased by 47%. In 2012 Five million Aussies that were 18 and over were considered as overweight. Within the five million, 3 million were overweight men and 2 million overweight women base on their BMI.
Obesity is causing our health care systems 55 BILLION DOLLAR$!

In conclusion I just want people to take the time to look at the amount of calories they consume, eat more healthy food and get at least 40 minutes of exercise per day especially primary school students to try and prevent obesity levels from rising.
