Michael Faraday

Michael Faraday was born on 22nd of September, 1791. He lived in Newington Butts, England. He passed away on 12th of August, 1867, he was 75 years old at that time. Michael Faraday was known for his contribution to the fields of electromagnetism and electrochemistry . It is not stated for how long he has studied however he has received basic education.

Micheal Faraday was the third of four children. He developed his interest to electricity during his seven year apprenticeship to a bookstore owner. He read books written by Isaac Watts and other scientists. During his 20s, he was employed as a secretary by Humphry Davy, a scientist who damaged his eyes due to an experiment gone wrong. Soon, Davy had to step down and find a replacement, that replacement was Faraday. Farday took Davy's job as the Chemical Assistant for the Royal Institution on March 1st, 1813. At the age of 41, the University of Oxford granted him a Doctor of Civil Law Degree.

Michael Faraday passed away at his house in Hampton Court. His memorial plate was placed near Isaac Newton's tomb. Apparently, Faraday suffered from a mental breakdown due to his intellects so he ended up weakened by the end of his life.
