The maya people built so many things they splined temples and pyramids and thats not the only thing that they build they build a calendar and they had a maya city to they were build it around the pyramids and the maya belvied in so many gods to.

WHAT DID THEY BUILD

The Maya people built many cities throughout the history of their civilization. The cities acted as city-states where each single large city ruled over the surrounding areas. Maya cities were not planned out in detail like the cities of the Aztecs.

WHAT DID THEY WERE

he Mayans primarily wore Loincloths that were made out of cotton and suitable for the hot climate that they lived in, but would wear a cloak called a manta if the weather was cold.

WHAT DID THEY EAT

The four staple foods in Mayan cuisine are squash, beans, maize and chili peppers, and they were often combined with meat or seafood.

WHAT DID THEY BUILD

Pyramids were the largest buildings in Mayan cities and were built as temples and royal tombs. Shrines where sacrifices were made to the gods were at the top, while burial chambers were hidden deep inside.

WHAT DID THERE WARRIORS LOOK LIKE

Some of the warriors were actually more powerful than the nobles they served. The leaders of the warriors in each city might work with the city priests to determine if captives were needed for sacrifice.

WHAT KIND OF GOD DID THEY BELIEVE IN

There are MANY gods the mayans worshiped. There is one god for every little thing. Some of them ( I don't know their names) are for love, medicine, sun...etc. The mayans did sacrifice people to honor their gods but not to the extent that the Aztecs did. They had some kind of platform which is covered in skull designs and that's where they sacrificed.

WHAT KIND OF STORIES DID THEY TELL

Mayan mythology is fascinating. The stories below serve a double purpose: to remember the traditions of a civilization that continues to be alive. To shed some light on a culture that we are immerged in.
