Valentines Day is observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it remains a working day in most of them. Valentines Day is also associated with Saint Valentine who was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christian.
The day was first associated with romantic love. By the 15th century, it had evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers and sending greeting cards known as valentiens.
Valentine's Day symbols that are used today include the heart- shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.
Why most people like Valentines Day.
Most people like Valentines because they get to hanging out with their lovers on the most romantic day out of the year. People get to buy their lovers stuff that they would really love and give them chocolate candy shaped in hearts. Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love for family and significant others. It also is a day to let your family know how much they mean to you, and to give them special gifts and cards.
