What is Personification?
Personification is a literary device used in various forms of writing. It is giving nonhuman things human attributes or characteristics. Good writers use personification to provide their writing life and and to link with their readers.
In this clip from "Beauty and the Beast", it is trying to show that the dishes, nonhuman, are given human like qualities such as singing and dancing.
The "Fox and the Hound", is another example of personification. The author is giving the fox, Todd, and the hound, Copper, human qualities like talking.
