Indian Wrestlers Advance to 22-2

The Indian Wrestlers took on Estherville Lincoln Central and Alta-Aurelia last week. Last year they suffered a close loss to ELC. This year the Indians blew the midgets out of the water. They went undefeated beating Alta(59-12) and ELC (67-9). Last weekend the wrestlers traveled to Ida Grove to battle in the Herb Irgens Invitational along with 26 other teams. The Indians placed 7th over all with Joe Minkler and Shea Ruffridge bringing home 2nd place individual placements. Tuesday was the Indians final home wrestling dual against Emmetsburg and Algona Public. After a long first 6 matches of the Indians being down 21 to -1, they finally kicked it into gear. They came back and won the dual after Zach Schott sealed the deal winning his match in overtime. The Indians beat Emmetsburg 35-27 and Algona 48-33. This weekend the Indians host their own tournament the Lynn Moody Invite. Last year the team won the tournament, and are looking to hopefully win it again.
