A few qualities that make Odysseus a hero are that he is brave, witty, and strong.

Odysseus is brave because he had to stab the Cyclopes in the eye. Ii know this because the book said, “I drew it from the coals, then my men stood round me, and a god breathed courage into us. They held the sharpened olivewood stake, and thrust it into his eye, while I threw my weight on the end, and twisted it round and round,” this show that Odysseus is brave.

Odysseus is always witty, because when he told the Cyclopes his name Odysseus told the Cyclopes his name is nobody. I know this because he book says, “Cyclopes, you asked my name, and I will tell it: give me afterwards guest gift as you promised. My name is Nobody. Nobody, my father, mother, and friends call me.”

Odysseus is also strong because he had to pick up the Cyclopes giant club and sharpen it to jam it into the Cyclopes eye. I know this because in the book it says “I drew it from the coals, then my men stood round me, and a god breathed courage into us. They held the sharpened olivewood stake, and thrust it into his eye, while I threw my weight on the end, and twisted it round and round,” this shows how strong Odysseus is.
