CPR, Conscious Choking,& Unconscious Choking

Adult CPR

1- Check the scene

2- Check the Patient

3- Call 9-1-1

4- Give 30 compression

               1- 100/min

                2- deep compressions (1 1/2 to 2 inches deep)

                3- 2 hands

5- 2 rescue breaths

6- repeat 4 and 5 until person becomes conscious

     STOP WHEN:

         1:Help arrives

         2:Person responds

         3:Too tired to continue

         4:AED arives

         5:Scene becomes unsafe

Child CPR

  • Check Scene
  • Check Child
  • Call 9-1-1
  • 30 Compressions

1: Check Scene

2: Check Child

3: Call 9-1-1

4: 30 Compressions

              1:1 to 1 1/2 inches(depends on size of child)(1/3 depth)

              2:1 or 2 hands depends on size of child

             3: Center of Chest( Sternum)

5:  2 rescue breaths

6: repeat 4 & 5


Infant CPR

1: Check Scene

2:Check Infant

3: Call 9-1-1

4: start with 30 Compressions

             1: 1/2 to 1 inch(1/3 depth)

             2: 2 Fingers

             3: 30 rate of 100/min

5: 2 rescue breaths

6: repeat  4 & 5

STOP WHEN:

         1:Help arrives

         2:Person responds

         3:Too tired to continue

         4:AED arives

         5:Scene becomes unsafe

Adult Unconscious Choking

1: Check Scene

2: Check Person

3: Call 9-1-1

4: 30 compressions

5: Check for object in mouth

6: Give 2 rescue breaths

7: if 2 rescue breaths DON"T go in re tilt and re-try 2 rescue breaths

8: Repeat 4, 5, 6, and 7

Child/Infant Unconscious Choking

1: If the person is conscious and become unconscious lay the patient safely down to the ground.

2:Call 9-1-1

3:Give 30 Chest compressions

4: open airway and check for object.(if object sweep out with finger)(infant pinky figure)

5: Give 2 breaths

6: if breaths do not go in re-position head and reattempt rescue breaths

7:Then repeat 3-6 until person becomes conscious.

Adult/Child Conscious Choking

1:ask "are you choking?"

2:If person unable to breath or speak treat patient

3:Call 9-1-1

4: stand behind victim whit one foot in-between victims feet.

5: get to there height

6:Place flat side of your fist just about patients belly button. Grab the back of your fist with yoru other hand.

7:Administer abdominal thrusts, pulling inward and upward, until object comes out or patient becomes unconscious.

Infant Conscious Choking

1:Support infant's face and place body on your forearm

2: keep infants head lower than feet

3:administer 5 back blows between shoulder blades with palm of your hand

4: support infants head turn baby over onto your other foream give 5 chest trusts

Continue back blows and chest thrusts until object comes out.

Bleeding

Aterial Bleeding

1: No bone fracture use really good pressure

2: elevate injured part.or Heart level

3: if leaks through only add more bandage

4: once bleeding under controlled start to wrap arm.

5: start at end of hand then go to heart to get as much blood you closer to the hearts

6: check for leak through bleeding

7: if it is leaking apply more bandage

8: Capillary  reflex in fingers

9:Elevate above heart.

10:Activate EMS
