Elegy For Pain
By Emmanuel George

Elegy for pain
And closed eyes:
Elegy for rest
At last!
Without preaching
In silence teaching!
See the mask
Of the silent Poet Seer
And yet it be not mask
But his unmoving lips
But his unmoving face.
