Plate Boundaries

Divergent

Divergent boundary- occurs when two plates move away from each other. Ocean crust made of basalt is often formed at Divergent boundaries.

Convergent

Convergent Boundary-occurs when two plates collide. Volcanoes often form parallel to the boundary and mountain range.

Subduction Zone

Subduction Zone-When two plates collide,one may slide under the other curving down into the mantle. Underwater caves and bellies are often created here.
