Since 1998, Alan Haddy has served as president of the Naples, Florida, specialty engineering firm IPEG Corporation. IPEG’s RDMS Offers Cloud-Based Device Monitoring Solution

Alan Haddy studied electronic engineering at Bristol University and then amassed more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunication and utility industries and now serves as president of IPEG Corporation, leading the development of various technologies that aid sub-surface operations in these sectors.

IPEG created the RDMS, or Remote Device Management Server, as a cloud-based solution for remote device monitoring and management. With client-specific technical and interface features, the application manages, monitors, and controls field devices and systems in remote locations. The firm’s engineering team creates a customized application design for each client, optimizing the RDMS to cater to companies’ unique operational needs. IPEG’s engineers also facilitate beta testing, installation, and training for each RDMS solution.

In addition to controlling pre-existing devices, the RDMS also allows for the continuing registration of new devices and the implementation of software updates. Linking with remote devices via Ethernet, fiber lines, or local telephone networks, the system’s central server provides status reports for devices located throughout the company’s network. Users can schedule the system to carry out status testing and reporting each day, week, or month.
