Dr. Brian Hoh is a neurosurgeon at Shands & UF in Gainesville, Florida. An internationally renowned neurosurgeon with extensive clinical and research experience, Dr. Brian Hoh specializes in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery, as well as treatment for stroke, carotid disease, brain tumors, and intracranial stenosis at the University of Florida. Dr. Brian Hoh is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Heart Association.
Dr. Hoh graduated from Stanford University with a BAS in biology and political science and went on to receive his medical degree from Columbia University. He completed his residency in neurological surgery and fellowship in interventional radiology at Harvard University. Dr. Hoh is the current program director of neurosurgery at the University of Florida, where he also is the William Merz associate professor of neurosurgery. Under his leadership, the University's endovascular surgical neuroradiology program stands as one of the most recognized programs in the nation.
In addition to his clinical contributions, Dr. Brian Hoh’s research regularly appears in major publications including the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Clinical Investigation, Stroke, Circulation, Neurosurgery, and the American Journal of Neuroradiology. Dr. Hoh was named to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Neurosurgery in 2012, and he continues to serve as principal investigator in major clinical trials throughout the world.
