About Chris Mazza
A leader in the health and management professions in Canada, Chris Mazza has many years of experience as a manager in air ambulance operations, healthcare, and government health organizations. After studying at the University of Toronto, Chris Mazza served as a medical director with Samaritan International Air Ambulance in Toronto, developing a new international air ambulance operation with 80 nurses, paramedics, and physicians. In the three years he worked with Samaritan International, he grew the gross revenue of the organization by 100 percent and developed a training curriculum for personnel to learn effective practices for critical care transport medicine. After this, he worked with Mutual of Omaha Canada and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, also returning to college to earn his MBA at the University of West Ontario's Richard Ivey School of Business.
More recently, Chris Mazza led Ornge, formerly Ontario Air Ambulance. In this role, he developed a formerly weak air ambulance infrastructure into a team that performed more than 19,000 patient transports per year, overseeing most aspects of the company's work.
