About David Collins
Before retiring, Dr. David Collins practiced anesthesiology for more than 30 years. To prepare for his career, Collins attended Colgate University as an undergraduate and garnered a medical degree from Albany Medical College. Subsequently, David Collins accepted a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Children's Hospital in Boston.
In retirement, Collins has had time to pursue several leisure activities. In addition to playing golf three times a week, he exercises for 45 minutes every morning and reads the New York Times and the Washington Post. He also loves to read. While his favorite fiction genre is mystery, in nonfiction he likes military history. Along with reading books on the American Revolution, the French and Indian War, and the American Civil War, he visits historic battlefields. His greater knowledge of the events that occurred gives him a greater appreciation of these locations. Another pastime David Collins enjoys is baseball. The owner of an extensive collection of baseball memorabilia, he collects autographs from individuals in the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, New York.
