About Dr. Greg Morganroth

As President of the California Skin Institute (CSI), Dr. Greg Morganroth joins over 20 certified physicians providing skin health care for a growing number of patients in Northern California. As the primary physician for one of the original practices that compose the group, which now encompasses six premier dermatology practices, Dr. Morganroth offers his skills in dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Morganroth contributes to a system designed to provide all patients with a more comprehensive, integrated skin care plan. Whether pursuing state-of-the-art cosmetic procedures or providing treatment for skin cancer, CSI remains focused on providing patients with the best doctors and health care services in the medical field.

Dr. Greg Morganroth has accumulated an array of complex surgical skills since opening his own private practice in 1995. Over the course of his career, he has concentrated on becoming an expert in local anesthesia skin surgery techniques that allow for natural-looking results and very little recovery. For his work combining aspects of dermatologic surgery, facial plastic surgery, and ophthalmic plastic surgery, Dr. Morganroth is frequently invited to speak as an expert at national dermatology and reconstructive surgery events. He has spoken at such renowned locations as Stanford University, the University of Miami, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and New York University. Dr. Morganroth’s work on the Vertical Vector Facelift technique and a number of other procedures have appeared in medical books, peer-reviewed journals, and surgery reference materials for students.

Dr. Greg Morganroth’s credentials include an MD from the University of Michigan Medical School. After earning his doctorate, he performed his internship at the University of Pennsylvania before completing a dermatology residency at Yale University. Focusing on complex surgical procedures including laser surgery and skin cancer surgery, he was later selected as 1 of only 35 dermatologists in the world to participate in a Mohs, Laser, and Dermatologic Surgery fellowship at the Skin and Mohs Surgery Center, Baptist Medical Center, and Hunkeler Eye Clinic in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Morganroth trained in multidisciplinary surgery techniques and has since performed over 18,000 Mohs procedures and a similar number of advanced skin reconstructions and scar revisions. Dr. Greg Morganroth is a Fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the California Dermatology Society.
