How The Internet Works
(For New Users)
WHAT IS THE INTERNET and HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Internet is a global system of connected computer networks that serves billions of people worldwide.
The Internet moves computerized information (also known as data) from one place to another. The machines that make up the Internet treats all of the information that they receive in exactly the same way. The Internet's simplicity means that it can handle many different jobs such as; e-mails, web pages, chat messages, and much more. Because the Internet is so simply designed people can easily use it to run new "applications" (new things that run on top of the basic computer network).
