About Kimberly Figa

Prior to her death in 2012, Kimberly Figa was viewed as a leader in her Bedford Hills, New York, community. Dedicated to her friends and family, Figa was known for her dynamic and energetic personality. Touching the lives of all she came into contact with, she regularly volunteered with nonprofit organizations and aided children in a variety of ways. People continue to remember Kimberly Figa's abilities at developing charity events, coordinating programs for senior citizens or sick children, and raising their spirits after a difficult day.

Professionally, Figa served as a dance instructor with Westchester Theater Dance Academy. Having previously trained with the organization for 15 years, she taught students styles of dance ranging from ballet and tap to jazz and hip-hop. After four years with the school, Kimberly Figa was hired as a manager at Kid's Style Hair Salon. At the Bedford Hills shop, she performed administrative tasks while assisting customers with their appointments. Active with youths, Figa also utilized the salon as a place for children's birthday parties, where she would highlight and color their hair, do their make-up, and pierce their ears.
