Maria Björnson was a very outstanding women, who is a theatre designer. She was born in Paris, France on the 16th of February 1949, and died on the 13th of December 2002, in London. Her mother is Romanian and her father is Norwegian. Maria studied at Byam Shaw School of Art and at Central school of art and design. She designs costumes for theatres, ballet and opera! Achievements

Maria Björnson got into the company for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and designed The Phantom of the Opera, and for that, she won her Tony Award for best Scenic Design! She also won the Drama desk Award for an outstanding set design and also the Drama desk award for the Best Costume design.
