Kyle’s background is rooted in data-driven product management with over 10 years experience setting online and mobile strategy for Fortune 500 companies and startups alike.
Karen Bantuveris, CEO of VolunteerSpot
Karen Bantuveris is the founder & CEO of VolunteerSpot, a time and stress‐saving online coordination tool that empowers busy teachers, parents and community leaders by making it easier get involved. Karen has more than 15 years experience as an entrepreneur, management consultant and business process expert. Her business background, intersecting with leadership roles at PTA and Girl Scouts, gave her unique insight into fundamental problems with volunteer recruitment, coordination and retention.
Karen launched VolunteerSpot in 2009 to simplify the volunteer experience and it has quickly grown mom‐to‐mom and group‐to‐group, boosting turnout with more than 4 million users nationwide. @VolunteerSpot @VSpotMom
Ari Rabban, CEO of Phone.com
Ari is an IP communications industry veteran, with specific expertise in the start-up environment, moving companies from concept to operation. He joins Phone.com from Pulver Ventures, an incubator for new IT companies, where he served as managing director and vice president. Previously, Ari served as vice president of corporate development and marketing for VocalTec Communications, the VoIP market pioneer and developer of the first internet phone.
Chris Kantrowitz, CEO of Gobbler
Chris is a serial entrepreneur in gaming, technology, and music. At age 14, he founded his first company-- a game testing business for clients like Sony Imagesoft. In 2006, Chris combined his passion for creative and technology and co-founded Frank the Plumber, a leading concert design and production company creating digital and live experiences for such artists as Akon, The Strokes, and more.
Most recently, he co-founded his second technology company, Gobbler. Gobbler is a platform as a service creative cloud. Gobbler is currently integrated into Avid Pro Tools and is used by Box.com.
Nicole Glaros, Managing Director at Techstars
Nicole got her entrepreneurial start in the 4th grade, orchestrating cousins into theatrical plays and charging neighbors admission. From there, she founded three startups which resulted in one win and 2 losses. Since then, she's spent over a decade mentoring and funding early-stage web software companies. Most recently, Nicole is a Managing Director at Techstars, a startup accelerator based out of Boulder, Colorado. She’s been with Techstars since it's early days in 2009, has run 6 programs and has close to 70 companies in her portfolio. In addition to running the New York City and Boulder, Colorado office, she was also been part of the launch in Texas. She's on the Board of Directors for the Application Developer’s Alliance and the Entrepreneur’s Foundation of Colorado, . She’s on the advisory board for the University of Colorado’s Venture Fund, The Global Accelerator Network, and Kangu.org. She was named one of the "Coolest People in New York Tech” and an Extraordinary Woman in New York Tech by Business Insider in 2013, Marie Claire named her one of the “NewGuard”, and Entrepreneur Magazine named her One of the Most 7 Powerful Women to Watch.
Nicole graduated with her Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology from the University of Florida and has learned that the same principles of sport apply to startups. She is married to the love of her life Mark and has 2 young children under 5 who keep her honest, humble, and acutely aware of how short and precious life is.
