...for the 25% most at risk

If you haven't heard, Nashville General Hospital (@ Meharry) is under fire. Nashville's hospital authority has decided that $38 Million spent annually on (low cost) care for the poor is too much.

(That's less than 2.5% of Nashville's annual budget in case your wondering)

This decision cost $1 Million  to make after an assessment by Alvarez & Marshall ( See the doc here) and completely ignores the social costs of its recommendation (which is to knock out inpatient services.

So we're rallying - to have our voice heard, and to speak for those who have no voice at all.
