Experienced with private equity investments, and commercial property finance and investments, Wayne Sturman is a partner and head of financial structuring for a real estate investment firm. Wayne Sturman works with property owners providing solutions in the current unpredictable markets. The firm provides bridge financing to help facilitate various issues that commercial borrowers have with their properties, or their financial structures. The firm is also heavily involved in the purchase of credit rated triple net leased properties, and corporate sale leaseback transactions.
Holding more than 25 years of experience in finance and real estate investment, Wayne Sturman previously served as head of investment banking with BCM Capital Management, where he oversaw large corporate transactions. He focused on leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and Private Investment in Public Equity (PIPE) transactions.
In addition to his work in real estate financing, Mr. Sturman has founded a clean energy venture capital firm that now operates in the United States, Canada, and Europe. One of the firm’s projects is a fuel cell combined heat and power (CHP) system. These systems generate electricity while harnessing by-product heat, into hot water, and space heating for individual homes, thus significantly increasing efficiency of natural gas. The systems also heavily reduce carbon dioxide and particulates into the environment.
Wayne Sturman earned a graduate degree in real estate from New York University and a bachelor of science in finance from Ithaca College, where he graduated magna cum laude and earned induction into several academic honor societies.
