About Yared Armstrong
An accomplished student and soccer player, Yared Armstrong is currently pursuing a bachelor of arts in psychology at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg. While studying, he helps support himself by working as a building manager at the university. In that capacity, Yared Armstrong is responsible for setting up and overseeing the operation of campus events, as well as providing customer service to students and clients.
Prior to attending the University of South Florida, Yared Armstrong majored in psychology and Italian at Eckerd College, where he studied subjects ranging from communications to developmental psychology and organized crime. He also played soccer for the school’s club team and held positions as a security assistant, a mail room worker, and a driver for the student rides program.
Yared Armstrong has been playing soccer since he was five years old, an endeavor he credits with teaching him the value of hard work, cooperation, and loyalty. Starting with the YMCA team and in youth leagues, he later played on select squads and for his high school team. Currently, he enjoys playing with school club teams and in occasional pick-up games.
