Thoreau fitting in with modern environmentalists
"I lived alone, in the woods, a mile from any neighbor, in a house which I had built myself, on the shore of Walden Pond, in Concord, Massachusetts, and earned my living by the labor of my hands only. Thoreau saying this, not only made him able to fit in with modern environmentalists but he would actually excel over the average modern environmentalist. He lives on his own, in nature, earning with his bare hands. Only a limited amount of people can say they ever lived like this in today's modern society. Todays average Modern environmentalist wouldnt do half the things Thereau does just to feel in contact with nature. Thoreau was a very simple man, a genius; but simple. This made him a very interesting guy to watch what he did and had to say, i could never see Thoreau protesting against anything or ever being violent like some modern environmentalists today would be. So with this being said, i don't think he would fit in to well with modern environmentalists today, hes just to chill and just loves doing his own thing.
