* Assignments / Graded Work   ~ Daily work and quizzes should be returned within 2 - 4 class days. Tests will be reviewed in class with students.

* Teachers of performance based courses should work with their district coordinator to ensure their grading is in compliance with district  procedures.

Gradebook

* Major test should be scheduled and announced at least 3 school days in advance (even / odd testing days)

3. At the beginning of each project or paper a  rubric must be provided to the students.

4. Term papers/projects assigned over a lengthy period and included on the course syllabus are due on or before the due date noted on the syllabus. Students who are absent on the due date, including school business, must meet the deadline.  The teacher is obligated for 2 weeks after the due date to accept the paper for a grade of zero but provide feedback.  After two week period has expired the teacher does to have to provide feedback.

5. This special due date clause for term papers and long-term projects applies only to assignments where the due date is included on the course syllabus; otherwise, the  teacher must adhere to the district's late work policy.

* Extra Credit - Must be academic and not given for basic school supplies

* Grades recorded are a documentation of a student's progress.

* Teachers will update their gradebooks weekly.

* Course Syllabus - required to post and distribute during the first two weeks.

* Course level changes. Pre-ap and AP teachers ~ Read page 29 and Ms. Shelton will be meeting with you to discuss changes.

* Required Reteach - If 25% (50% for AP) or more of students in a single prep per teacher for onlevel or pre-ap do not demonstrate mastery of the TEKS on classroom test the teacher is required to reteach using different methods and retest.....all during class.

*Late Work - Use your judgment and be consistent. District policy is up to two days late with 75% of the original grade.
