Frame of Mine

Glasses by Elijah

Presentation created by Elijah Wallace on 04.29.2014

Hi, I'm Elijah and I'm here to introduce my company: Frame of Mine!

It started with poor Elijah shelling out hundreds of dollars to oversea workers for glasses that just weren't cutting it. So I finally thought "What do the Taiwanese have that I don't?" and began my company.

Business Overview

Although my company manufactures a multitude of glasses frames, we specialize in two, our popular "Wooden" and our equally popular and exceptionally thrifty model "Cheap Plastic".

Our Wooden frame, including the import of wood and the actual carving, costs $60.00 to create. Each frame sells for $750.00, excluding shipping and handling.

Our Cheap Plastic model, costs a whopping $5.00 for us to produce, however, each sells for $300.00, excluding all the good stuff. It's the name you're buying.

Equations

Cheap Plastic : x  //  Wooden : y

Production Fees = 5x + 60y

Selling Price = 300x + 750y

Profit = 295x + 690y

Production Restrictions

In the wee infancy of my company, I will be unable to produce more than 500 frames in a single month. Additionally, we are unable to produce more than 175 Wooden frames.

Due to the shipment size of the wood we import, we must sell at least 25 Wooden frames for the importing of wood to be cost effective.

Production Restriction Equations

Cheap Plastic : x  //  Wooden : y

x + y < 500

y > 25

y < 175

x > 0

y > 0

Graph

( 0 , 175 ) // Profit = $120,750.00

( 0 , 25 ) // Profit = $17,250.00

( 325, 175 ) // Profit = $216,625.00

( 475 , 25 ) // Profit = $157,375.00

For the maximum profit during the initiation of my company, I will need to produce 325 Cheap Plastic frames and 175 Wooden frames.
