A limerick poem is a short, humorous poem. They usually are full of nonsense also. The first, second, and fifth lines need five to seven syllables and they also have to rhyme with each other and have the same rhythm. The first two lines rhyme with the third line, and the third and fourth line rhyme. The third and fourth lines are also usually shorter than the other lines in the poem. Limerick poems definitely have many more specifications that many other poems, which means they would be harder to write.

and this curious glow rippled my way.
While flirting with my feet,
nature played a song so sweet.
The lake our dance floor 'til the sun's first ray.
