The Lowdown on Belize

If you look close to the bottom, you can see the phrase, "Sub Umbra Floreo" which means "Under the shade of the mahogany tree I flourish. Behind the two men, there is a tree. It is a mahogany tree. It forms part of Belize's coat of arms.

Government

The government they use in Belize is parliament democracy within British Commonwealth. Dean Barrow is in prime minister as of now.

He is the current Prime Minister of Belize.

Currency

One US dollar equals two Belize dollars. That means that if you had $1,000,000 American, you would have $2,000,000 Belize.

Tourist Attractions

There are many, many tourist attractions in Belize. I will name off the 5 most popular places starting from 5th to 1st. Lamanai, Placencia, Caracol, Caye Caulker, and Great Blue Hole. And a special shout-out to #10 on the list, the Belize Zoo.

Belize is located in Central America with Mexico and Guatemala neighboring it.

I bet you didn't that the coldest temperature ever recorded in Belize was 52.3 (11.28 c) degrees Fahrenheit which was set in 2010. The record high was 106.7 (41.5 C) degrees Fahrenheit.

That is a lot of Mestizo people in Belize. Oh and by the way, the Mstizo is suppose to be the Mestizo

Climate

Between the months of November to January, the average temperature is 75 degrees Fahrenheit. And between the months of May to September, an average of about 81 degrees Fahrenheit. They pretty much have two seasons, the Dry and the Wet.

Geography

Most of the country is heavily forested with various hardwoods.  Mangrove swamps and cays on the coast lead to hills and mountains on the interior. It is about the size of New Hampshire. Its' highest point is Victoria Peak, which is approximately 3,681 feet.
