My colonial American was John Carver

My colonial American was John Carver he was very important to the settlement of Plymouth Bay he started out by joining a Protestant Separatist movement and because of that he was forced to do something due to religious percuscation. He went to the king of England and got a charter to take a group of Protestants to the new world the king accepted. During the ride to the new world john carver was elected governor of their group and helped create the Mayflower compact a document that said how they would run their government. A diplomatic democracy. When they landed life was hard and he helped the pilgrims with building houses to finding a new home that was cleaner with more open space and a better growing environment. But supplies were low so he went to the Indians to ask for help and they agreed but sadly he died before he could see the first Thanks Giving.
