Rotation 7 Forensic Science

Session 1

In session 1 we learned some basic principles about forensic science. We analyzed a crime scene and thought about what might have happened. After that we made a sketch of the crime scene.

Session 2

In this session we learned about the history of fingerprinting. We also saw how in the past without today's tech how investigators solved crimes. after that we successfully lifted a fingerprint from a "crime scene".

Session 3

In this session we learned the process of of DNA fingerprinting. As the session progressed we learned different things about DNA fingerprints and how someone and someone else's fingerprint arent the same.

Session 4

In this session we reviewed the process of DNA fingerprinting. We also defined trace evidence and found out what is classified as trace evidence. Both of these will come in handy during a crime investigsation.

Session 5

We learned the parts of a microscope. All the parts are needed to work. After we studied the microscope we tested evidence from the crime scene.

Session 6

In this session we explored the process of document analysis. We also completed a chromatography analysis. We also reviewed For our post test.
