Early Life

Louis Armstrong was born in New Orleans on August 4,1901. His father was a factory worker and he abandon Louis as soon as he was born. His mother was turned into prostitution. So he was often left with his motherly grandmother, but on New Years Eve he fired his step dads gun and was arrested right there. Then he was sent to Colored Waif's Home for Boys,there he received musical instruction he soon fell in love with music. In 1914 they released him, he started thinking about life with music

Musical Career

Though Armstrong was consisted in staying in New Orleans.He got a call from King Oliver to join his Creole Jazz Band.He accepted the challenge, and took Chicago by storm with his remarkable playing and the two cornet breaks which he shared with Oliver.In New York he cut dozens of records as a sidemen,creating inspiring Jazz. The record place decided to let him do his own album, with his own band called Louis Armstrong and His Five Notes from 1925 to 1928. He made more than 60 records
