About Adrienne Hiegel
Adrienne Hiegel, JD, a former municipal employee in Chicago, currently works as an independent consultant in the Chicagoland area. After completing a bachelor’s degree in literary theory at Brown University, she earned a master’s degree in English literature and a juris doctorate from Columbia University. Building on her educational achievements, Adrienne Hiegel took a position as legal counsel for the City of Chicago. In this role, she handled litigation matters related to fair housing, affirmative action, race discrimination, and constitutional rights.
When Ms. Hiegel transitioned to the private sector as a litigator, she handled corporate class-action lawsuits at Mayer Brown. She later returned to public service as a senior policy and operational manager in the Chicago Transit Authority, the Office of Budget and Management, and the Office of Emergency Management and Communications. In addition, she served as deputy chief of staff for the mayor of Chicago.
Outside of her career, Adrienne Hiegel enjoys running, reading, cooking, traveling, and gardening. She also likes to spend quality time with her partner and two children.
