The Capella star is about 42 light years from Earth.

Like our sun, Capella is white and radiates a golden shine.

The approximate size of it is 10.4 million miles (16.8 million km). This is 12x the sun's diameter.

The temperature is 4,900C (8,900F).

Characteristics: The Capella star produces 80x more light than the sun. This star is actually 2 stars but is seen as one. The two stars are called Capella A and Capella B. Both stars are post main sequence star. This means that they've used up all of the hydrogen in their core and have expanded 5x their original size. Years from now they will both become a red giant star.
