It doesn’t care

Our lives were happy, we were fine

We were equal to all

We laughed, we smiled

We were free to do as we wish

We were liked, we were loved

The holocaust doesn’t care

We were forced from our homes

Loved ones thrown to the flames

Neighbors fed to the gas chambers

And I, lucky I was forced to work

Night, day, for what, so I can live to work another day

The Holocaust doesn’t care

We had our whole life ahead of us

We were going to be successful

We were going to have a family, a career

The Holocaust doesn’t care

It was all taken away

Our homes, our family

Our lives

All we are now is a shell

A shell that can work

No soul, no personality, no hope

The Holocaust doesn’t care.
