This is Kool-Aid,it was created by Edwin Perkins in 1927 in Hastings, Nebraska.
Well, Kool-Aid got its start right here in Hastings, Nebraska. This internationally known soft drink mix, now owned by Kraft Foods, actually started out as a liquid concentrate called Fruit Smack, invented by Edwin Perkins.
In 1927, Perkins developed a method of removing the liquid from Fruit Smack so the remaining powder could be re-packaged in envelopes under a new name to be called Kool-Ade. (He later changed the spelling to Kool-Aid.)
Kool-Aid man's first appearance was in 1954.

Beginning in the mid-1970s, Kool-Aid Man was introduced as a walking/talking 6-foot-tall pitcher of cherry Kool-Aid.Children, parched from playing, would typically exchange a few words referring to their thirst, then call forth their "friend" .Kool-Aid Man would make his grand entrance, breaking through walls, fences, ceilings or other furnishings, uttering the famous words "Oh yeah!", then pour the dehydrated youngsters a glass of Kool-Aid.
