War and Terror in Syria

Syrian citizens are helpless from the relentless terrorism outside their front steps

Throughout Syria the Syrian Army has barrel-bombed several structures and cities as a intimidation technique by the terrorist group known as ISIS. The explosion that it caused destroyed blocks of flats on either side of a fairly wide road. A barrel bomb is an improvised device made typically from a man size plastic container packed with explosives and hard projectiles. Mr. Assad (The Syrian Ambassador) insisted that the Syrian army would never use them in a place where people lived.

More than 200,000 Syrians have lost their lives in four years of armed conflict, which began with anti-government protests before escalating into a full-scale civil war. More than 11 million others have been forced from their homes as forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad and those opposed to his rule battle each other - as well as jihadist militants from Islamic State.
