Vietnam school life for an 11 year old male
Bui Duy Bin is my person I picked from Vietnam. He is an 11 year old boy. He lives with his dad, mom, and his brother. He attends school on a daily basis and he is in 5th grade. He lives in ho chi minh city, Vietnam.
5:30 A.M. Wake up
He gets up and thankfully, brushes his teeth. His mom usually makes him breakfast in the morning, but today he bought i beef and noodle soup from a street vendor. I usually eat a biscuit, cereal, or gotta for breakfast. It is very delicious. And then I brush my teeth.
6:30 A.M. Transportation
My mom or dad takes me to school. I only ride on a motorcycle to school. Most people in their country cannot afford a car. It said it takes him around 10 minutes to get to school. I ride to school in a car with my dad. I usually strike a conversation with him in the 20 minutes it takes to get there.
6:40 A.M. SCHOOL!
Every Monday, school starts with a salute to Ho Chi Minh. Our city is named in his honor. His picture hangs in almost every school and house in Vietnam. After the salute, we sing songs that honor our country. When I go to school we say the pledge. We have a flag in our class room and we look at it while we have a right hand on our heart.
7:20 A.M. Drawing and homework
I turn in my homework. After that, we have art class. A teacher comes to our room to teach us how to draw. My team chooses me to draw at the board. We look on the board and it tells us what we are doing watching a movie, getting on Google classroom, or getting on a different website.
11:00 A.M. After school
School ends. Because there are not enough teachers, half of my school goes to class in the morning and half goes in the afternoon. My parents work, so when school ends, I take a motorcycle taxi home. We call it a xe om (say ohm). My school would still be in session we would be in my math class and working very hard. Getting ready for lunch.
12:00 P.M. Getting home
I get home and water the plants on our rooftop garden. When my mother gets home, we eat lunch together. Afterward, I read and take a nap.
