About Alan Fard MD
Possessing more than two decades of medical training and
experience, Ali Fard, MD has owned and operated Midtown Cardiovascular
in New York City since 2002. As the President and Lead Physician, he
performs consultations on a variety of patients from across the
tri-state area, receiving referrals from more than 70 medical
professionals. At the facility, Dr. Fard and his staff conduct monitored
exercise programs, prescribe diet and weight loss consultations, and
provide other interventions to mitigate cardiovascular risk. Ali Fard,
MD stays abreast of developments in the field through his membership
with the American Heart Association, the American Society of
Echocardiography, and other medical organizations.
Aside from his clinical work, Ali Fard, MD currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the New York Medical College. Dr. Fard assumed this position in 2001 and has spent more than a decade researching coronary artery disease and cardiac transplants with his colleagues. Since joining the institution, he has published articles in several prominent peer-reviewed publications and presented his research findings at national and international medical conferences.
An alumnus of West Virginia University, Ali Fard, MD graduated with a Doctor of Medicine and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with magna cum laude distinction from Shepherd College, where he also belonged to the Sigma Phi Epsilon Chemistry Honor Society. Following medical school, Dr. Fard completed his postdoctoral training at Thomas Jefferson University. In addition to an internship and residency in internal medicine, he also completed a fellowship in cardiology. Ali Fard, MD subsequently received a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and later joined the university as an Instructor of Medicine following the program.
