A skilled and experienced public relations professional, Alan Randall Steinberg is an expert in marketing, branding, business development, and public affairs. He is currently the Principal at The Valence Group, a public and government relations firm in Los Angeles. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the firm, Alan Randall Steinberg develops and implements public relations plans for nonprofits, law firms, and wealth management companies. Steinberg founded The Valence Group in 2011, and successfully incorporated and branded the firm.
Alan Randall Steinberg studied Government at Franklin and Marshall College and holds a law degree from Tulane Law School. After earning his law degree, he became the Assistant Director of the Los Angeles office of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), where he served as spokesperson and planned and oversaw events designed to raise awareness of the organization and its mission. After working for the ADL, he joined the Los Angeles Mayor's Office of Economic Development.
As a Business Development Representative in the Mayor's office, he advocated for city businesses and promoted the city's special economic zones, playing a central role in the redevelopment of a former General Motors plant into a retail and entertainment complex. Steinberg was also instrumental in securing a land donation totaling $3.5 million from GM to the city.
Steinberg left the Mayor's Office to form Steinberg/Allen Communications, where he helped Mission Community Hospital obtain a $2 million tax-exempt bond, generated significant new business for Ricon Corporation, and provided public relations services to various non-profit organizations.
Prior to forming The Valence Group, Alan Randall Steinberg served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Cadforce, an architectural services firm. He created and implemented a new branding strategy for the company, advised senior management on interviewing techniques, and brought national attention to the firm by procuring coverage in national publications such as BusinessWeek.

Alan Randall Steinberg is a federal immigration attorney.* He has represented clients in federal Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and has argued before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His accomplishments include procuring asylum in the United States for an unaccompanied Guatemalan minor, winning a remand from the Board of Immigration Appeals in a 3-0 decision, and obtaining bond for numerous detained clients. He is also knowledgeable regarding employment-based immigration such as the EB-5 program and employer I-9 immigration compliance. He also chaired the Southern California Chapter of American Immigration Lawyers Association's (AILA) State Advocacy Committee, significantly increasing AILA's profile in Sacramento.
A graduate of Tulane Law School, Alan Randall Steinberg is involved in various community organizations,including, but not limited to serving on the Board of UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation and volunteering for Bet Tzedek Legal Services' Conservatorship Clinic.
