Battle Of Brown's Mill
The Battle of Brown's Mill was fought on July 30, 1864. This battle took place during the Civil War in Coweta County. The war was fought between The Union and The Confederacy. The Union side was lead by Edward M. McCook and The Confederacy side was lead by Joseph Wheeler. McCook wanted to surrender because through out the whole battle he lost 1,285 men, 1,200 horses, several ambulences, and two pieces of spiked artilley. Wheeler freed 300 confederacy men and lost 50 men. The Confederacy side won.
