Indira Gandhi by: Robbie muska
-Indira Gandhi was the third Prime Minister of India and a central figure of the Indian National Congress party.
-Her home country was India. she came to power in 1966 when Lal Bahadur Shastri suddenly died.
-her type of "government" she ran was a democracy because they held elections for the prime minister.
-at her home, she lead the green revolution to address food shortages which increased food exports. she also created new jobs for the unemployed.
-for other countries, she went to war with Pakistan and was victorious. this led to the formation of independent Bangladesh
-something that is similar to what she did: the creation of Obama care. it expands medical aid to help those in poverty get insurance. Indira proposed many anti-poverty programs
-shout out for being the only woman to hold office and being the second longest serving prime minister.
