About American Association for Cancer Support
Based in Tennessee, the American Association for Cancer Support assists patients both domestically and internationally with charitable and educational contributions, and has recently launched a specialized breast cancer support division. The American Association for Cancer Support serves its global community through two dedicated departments.
The support service department oversees distribution of supplies and other practical relief, including the association’s special Cancer Care Cards and Cancer Care Packages. The administrative department handles educational initiatives and cancer prevention and awareness programs. The American Association for Cancer Support also gives grants to select foundations and companies that support cancer research. The Association has also invited physicians, social workers, and other individuals and companies to join an affiliate program to further benefit its enrolled patients.
The American Association for Cancer Support has been granted the GuideStar Exchange Seal, demonstrating its commitment to organizational and financial transparency. In addition, on February 28, 2013, the American Association for Cancer Support was recognized as one of the best charities in the country and awarded with a Seal of Excellence by the Independent Charities of America (ICA) based on their annual highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.
