Experienced Product Lead and Marketing Executive Andrew Anagnost
A business leader with a passion for design and engineering software, Andrew Anagnost has spent more than two decades with technology companies throughout the greater San Francisco Bay and Boston areas. During his undergraduate studies at California State University, Andrew Anagnost interned with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, where he remained as a propulsion installation engineer after graduating.
Pursuing his graduate education at Stanford University, Andrew Anagnost left Lockheed to obtain his MS in aeronautical and astronautical Sciences and his PhD in aeronautical and astronautical engineering and computer science. He remained at the NASA Ames Research Center as a postdoctoral researcher before relocating to Boston to join the Exa Corporation as an applications engineer in 1992. Over the course of five years, he was instrumental in closing the company’s first $1M in revenue and rose to the position of product manager prior to his transition to San Francisco-based Autodesk in 1997.
After serving for 15 years in various roles including leading product development for the mechanical design and simulation products, Andrew Anagnost took on his current role as Autodesk’s senior vice president of industry strategy and marketing in 2012. Applying his broad knowledge of mechanical design and cloud software, he continues to be a driving force in integrating cloud-based services with traditional business models.
