About Andrew Whiteman Michigan
Andrew Whiteman, a graduate of Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, actively engages in developing his career in the sciences. He earned his BA in biology from the school in 2012. During the summers of both before and during his tenure as an undergraduate, Andrew Whiteman served as counselor for Cranbrook Day Camp of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. His responsibilities included guiding young people in activities ranging from sports to arts and crafts. Before embarking on his college education, he graduated co-valedictorian from Royal Oak High School in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Over January of 2009, Andrew Whiteman interned with Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in Ohio. He observed primates and cheetahs as part of a research project at the zoo and was sponsored by a professor. Complementing his winter experience with the zoo, he also interned in the summer of the same year, when he monitored primates for behaviors indicative of both medical and social problems. Following that, he reported his data to the graduate research assistant with the Research and Conservation Department.
In his private life, he enjoys cultural pursuits like reading, watching movies, and traveling.
