-Losing voice from purging

-Self medicating

Disorder Research:
-Binge eating
-Binging can be followed by periods of not eating
-Forced vomiting
-Compulsive exercising
-Common to also suffer from depression
-Bulimics can have normal body weights

Symptoms in DMS V:
-Recurrent episodes of binge eating
-Self induced vomiting, misuse of laxatives, diuretics or other medications, fasting or excessive exercise
-Binge eating and inappropriate compensatory behaviors both occur on average at least once a week for 3 months
-Self evaluation is unduly influenced by body shape and weight

Changes Between DMS IV and DMS V:
-Reduced the frequency of binge eating and compensatory behaviors from twice weekly to once a week

-Psychological counseling
-Sometimes medication such as antidepressants

-Demi Lovato does have the disorder according to the DSM V because she had recurrent episodes of binge eating and self induced vomiting followed for over three months while on tour. This was influenced by body shape and weight.
