Ice Storms

By: William Cox

Ice storms are marked by the accumulation of ice from freezing rain. Freezing rain occurs at temperature above the ground exceeds 32 Fahrenheit. Ice storms can crush trees and tip over steel power transmission towers. The ice in an ice storm can get so thick on a car  you can hit it with a mallet and you won't scratch the car. Ice storms occur when they meet.
